Gareth Morris (Midfielder) (Squad Number - 6)
Was Ashton United's longest-serving player before switching to Droylsden in September 2003. Came up through the ranks at Hurst Cross and had a good goalscoring record for a midfielder. Local boy who lives only 100 yards from the ground.

Kevin Lynch (Midfielder) (Squad Number - 17)
A midfielder who has never heard of a lost cause he was signed from Southport late December 2005. Previously with Prescot Cables he scored a number of important goals after joining Vauxhall Motors in May 2000. Transferred to Southport in May 2004.

Jamie McGuire (Midfielder) (Squad Number - 8)
Attacking midfielder Jamie signed for the Bloods in July 2007 from Cammell Laird. Jamie scored more than 70 goals in the last three seasons for The Lairds. A member of the 2001/2002 Tranmere youth team squad that won both the Football League Youth Alliance Merit Division and the Lancashire Youth Cup. Made a handful of appearances for the Tranmere reserve team and had a loan spell at Northwich Victoria. After a short spell at TNS he signed for Cammell Laird for the 2003/2004 season.

Ashley Burbeary (Midfielder) (Squad Number - 15)
Signed for the Bloods in November 2007 after being released by Blue Square North side Stalybridge Celtic. Ashley started at Mansfield in the youth set up before progressing onto Gainsborough Trinity, and then Aldershot Town in 2005. In 2006 he joined Alfreton Town after impressing in pre-season. Signed for Stalybridge in the close season and made 19 appearances, scoring twice before moving to Droylsden.

Levi Mackin (Midfielder) (Squad Number - 19)
Joined the club on loan from Wrexham at the end of January 2008. Levi has come through the ranks of the youth system at the Racecourse and he is a central midfielder player, able to play a holding role or break forwards. He helped the youth team capture a league championship and was rewarded by being give a squad number. He made his league debut at the end of the 2003/04 campaign and in 2005-6 season he him become a regular member of the first team squad, although injuries have limited his appearances. However, his energetic efforts as captain of the reserves reminded everyone of his potential. The 2006-7 season offered more of the same: first team opportunities were frustratingly rare as injuries continued to thwart his attempts to break into the first team on a permanent basis.
